How It Works

With Vivian, the spa’s nurse practitioner and cosmetic injector {with six years of experience}, Attain is able to offer quite an array of trusted, tried, and true fillers and Botox to fit the needs of everyone who comes to the office. Not only does Attain offer Botox to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, but it is also able to target areas to reduce excess sweating as well as help those who suffer from TMJ {Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction — a condition within the jaw that causes pain and grinding of the teeth}.
Injecting into those areas can be both cosmetically and medically beneficial to those who choose to do so. Additionally, Lauren’s office offers fillers to plump and fill in the facial area. The spa typically uses fillers in the Juvéderm family but also loves to use Versa, a versatile and dynamic filler, especially for lips and Bellotero for under eye treatments. What makes Attain Medspa so unique is a new {to the office — not to the cosmetic world} body contouring filler that adds volume and creates a more symmetrical body shape. Under the care of Dr. Paul Fondacaro, patients feel welcome and well educated on the many offerings of the office. Specifically, on the topic of injectables, Dr. Park Avenue has a team of injectors {composed of MDs, PAs, and NPs} each with over 10 years of experience. Todd Newman, MS, PA-C {10+ years of experience}is the go-to guy for injections. More specifically, Juvéderm is a hyaluronic acid gel filler that adds volume to the skin and can be used to plump lips, treat lines, or lift or contour cheeks. Radiesse is also a hyaluronic acid filler that can be used to treat both the face and hands, restoring volume and smoothing out wrinkles and folds where patients see a significant loss. As for Belotero, this product is also used to smooth lines, folds, and wrinkles near the mouth and nose. Restylane is another popular choice and offers a few different options to fit the needs of each patient.
Silk is used for lip augmentation and smoothing wrinkles around the mouth while Refyne is used to help soften laugh lines, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. From facials to laser hair removal, to lashes, this team does it all. Tam, Downtown Medspa’s registered nurse, and Allergan trained professional {the pharma company that produces products like Juvéderm + Botox} is the office’s injector. She stresses the importance of creating a personalized plan for each client because no two individuals have the same needs. At the office, she is able to treat the face with Botox and fillers to create the desired outcome.
“Botox is a preventative treatment, which is why it is so important to treat areas early,” explained Tam. “When you wait too long, lines can become deeper and more difficult to treat.” As for fillers, Downtown Medspa offers Juvéderm for different needs. Juvéderm Ultra is great for the nasolabial {the area from the nose to the mouth}, marionette {the creases next to the corners of the mouth} and smile lines}. She uses Juvéderm Voluma to fill the cheek areas, Juvéderm Volbella for the lips, and Juvéderm Ultra for the lines around the mouth. “Ultra is the workhorse that can really be used anywhere.”
Botox and fillers are cost-effective, noninvasive ways to bring back volume and reduce wrinkles. Tam will work with each person to determine which areas need treatment and with which injectable.
