It was Centenera’s relationship with Ye that resulted in her meeting the late Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh, with whom she became extremely close, working on a number of shows for the prestigious French fashion house.

However, her friends in Sydney have been left wondering what the future holds for Centenera’s relationship with Ye, which has weathered previous controversies. However, none have been as damning as the latest scandal, which has seen: Adidas cancel its huge US$1.5 billion partnership deal with Ye; GAP, Balenciaga and talent agency CAA drop the rapper; and JPMorgan Chase reportedly unbank him.

Financial surgery needed

As former celebrity nose surgeon William Mooney faces a drug possession charge after allegedly buying cocaine in Bondi Beach on Saturday night, PS can reveal the corporate doctors have been called in to undertake emergency financial surgery on the disgraced medico’s ailing Face Plus Medispa empire.

Corporate records show Mooney is a shareholder in a string of cosmetic clinics, offering everything from botox injections to skin tightening procedures from Bondi to Bankstown. They are now in the hands of administrators WLP Restructuring as Mooney’s powers as a director have been frozen.

Dr William Mooney was issued with a court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug and is due to appear at Waverley Local Court on December 6.

Creditors were told COVID had affected the profitability of the clinics, though their “core business may be profitable”. There was no mention of the publicity Mooney has attracted over the past four years.

Creditors include the Australian Tax Office, landlords and employees, collectively owed several million dollars.

In April, following a 2018 investigation by the Herald’s Kate McClymont, Mooney was struck off for one year after a tribunal found his negligence had resulted in the deaths of two patients. He’d also lied about a relationship with a third patient and provided a false medical certificate to cover up his failure to attend mandatory drug testing for cocaine use.

Last Saturday at about 10.15pm, police noticed Mooney, 56, and Marlee Lusio, 22, acting suspiciously on Blair Street in Bondi Beach.

During a subsequent search, police allegedly found a bag of cocaine on Mooney.

Lusio allegedly had 11 bags of cocaine and $3000 cash. She was charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, dealing with the proceeds of crime and breach of bail.

Meanwhile, the website of Mooney’s Rhinoplasty Sydney practice currently tells visitors: “After 20 years William Mooney is stepping away from clinical practice for a short while. He looks forward to returning to your care in due course.” No one was answering the phone when PS called.

No expense spared for Barbie girl

All roads lead to Melbourne this weekend for spring racing, but judging by the enormous marquee being erected on the Pratt family mansion, Raheen, in Kew, it appears there’s another grand celebration afoot.

The million-dollar-plus party is for the late cardboard king Richard Pratt’s granddaughter Georgia Geminder and her wedding to fellow Melbourne rich kid Matthew Danos on Sunday.

Designers J’Aton are reportedly creating her wedding gown, and the festivities promise to be quite a spectacle if her Barbie-themed hens party is any indication. She arrived in her own Barbie packaging box before handing out some X-rated drinking straws for her fellow hens to slurp their cocktails.

Serial liar and catfisher gets more jail time

It was a heartbreaking drama that had more twists, turns and tragedy than anything TV heart throb Lincoln Lewis ever got to do on the small screen, and with deadly results. Indeed, it would certainly make an absorbing book or television series, which is no doubt sure to follow.

For years, the Home And Away actor’s identity was used – largely unbeknown to him and without his consent – by Lydia Abdelmalek, 32, to “catfish” her victims and stalk multiple women and their families before she was eventually caught out and ended up behind bars. This week her sentence appeal resulted in her being given four years imprisonment at the County Court of Victoria, an increase of one year and four months on the original sentence handed down about three years ago.

“Despite the content of some of the material being reflective of a fictional soap opera, it was not fantasy. It was real and impacted real people,” Judge Claire Quin told the court.

“What may begin as lighthearted can quickly escalate and have significant consequences for the psychological wellbeing of those to whom the ruse is directed. It was persistent and malicious.”

Judge Quin noted Abdelmalek had shown no remorse or insight into her offending. One of the victims took her own life due to the stalking.

On Tuesday Lewis posted on Twitter: “It’s finally over”.

“It’s hard finding the proper words or to articulate the feeling of relief that the cruel and horrendous actions committed by this person starting over a decade ago has finally ended with justice prevailing.

“I hope the sentence helps provide the victims, their families and those affected with some closure that can now help everyone heal and move forward,” he said.

“Lastly, I hope all of this opens conversations when talking with friends or between parents and their kids about staying safe online.

“Social media is great but always make sure you know who you’re talking with and especially, always look out for each other.”

Marina’s trashion gains traction

One man’s trash is definitely another woman’s treasure judging by Coogee artist Marina DeBris and her latest Haute Mess creation. Her evening gown made of rubbish has made its way to the pages of high-end glamour bible Harper’s BAZAAR Australia.

“It all came off the beach at Coogee or around Gordons Bay,” DeBris told PS. “The eastern suburbs is a wealthy area, and yes you do find amazing things being washed up. I call it ‘trashion’, but it’s not about making money, because it doesn’t really sell, it’s about showing people what we are doing to our beaches and waterways.”

And she’s certainly getting recognised, especially by Randwick Council workers who are not quite as appreciative of her creative efforts: her rubbish “installations” are usually in places where passersby can be reminded of the environmental issue.

“I would like to think of myself as the Banksy of Coogee, but my cover was blown long ago,” she laughed, adding her real name is Anne but prefers to use her pseudonym.
