The main thing that sets the ‘orb’ – which is sold as a single ball in an airtight bottle – apart from other skincare on the market is its inclusion of epidermal growth factors (or EGFs).

EGFs are derived from stem cells taken from the discarded foreskins of newborn babies in Korea, and these form the main ingredient in a celebrity procedure dubbed the ‘penis facial’.

‘Penis facials’ have become huge with celebrities including Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock and Kate Beckinsale in recent years, but they typically cost upwards of $700.

EGF is said to help rejuvenate the skin, improve overall skin texture and correct discoloration. It is also known for its ability to aid in wound healing.

‘Think of growth factors as the key that unlocks and activates the cell to produce collagen and elastin, both of which give us that youthful look – and also help promote cell turnover and fight against inflammation,’ Snow Fox founder Phoebe Song told FEMAIL.

The Snow Fox product also boasts bio-fermented Italian hyaluronic acid and five types of ceramides (the building blocks of our skin).

All of these are kept fresh for one use only by being locked away in an airtight, professional-grade glass container.

To use the orb, you simply mix it with one of Snow Fox’s serums (they recommend the Cucumber or Luminosity serums) until it has dissolved, and then pat it gently into the skin.

Snow Fox recommend you use it up to one or two times each week.

The ‘penis facial’: What is it and how does it work?

* The ‘Penis Facial’ involves the use of epidermal growth factors, or EGF for short, which are derived from stem cells taken from the discarded foreskins of newborn babies in Korea.

The $12 buy (pictured) is considerably cheaper than professional 'penis facials', which can cost up to $700

* EGF is said to help rejuvenate the skin, improve overall skin texture and correct discoloration. It’s also known for its ability to aid in wound healing.

* ‘Penis facials’ is the street name in Hollywood for EGF facials, because they use the stem cells from Korean baby boys.

* The stem cell is then harvested and infused into the skin using a special microneedling technique to stimulate collagen production.

* The stem cells are collected from the foreskin during circumcision, largely from Korea since it is home to many stem cell banks, including the largest cord blood bank in the world.

* They are then harvested using a centrifuge and exported to the salons, where a facialist uses a microneedling technique to pump the stem cells into the skin.

Those who have tried the unusual buy are waxing lyrical, saying it is 'better than Botox'. Others say they look like they have come 'straight from the doctor's office' (pictured before and after)

‘Just try it on half your face first. You’ll see what I mean!’ one woman wrote.

‘It’s my new skincare secret (that’s not so secret), been recommending this to everyone I know. Absolutely amazing for my dry skin, I literally look like I’ve come out of the doctor’s office.’

Another said: ‘I’m a nurse and can say this is legit the best way to save hundreds of dollars and the most amazing boost for skin’.

A third added: ‘A miracle for my dry, flaky skin. Immediate results. Colleagues are shook, I look like I’ve had some expensive stuff done’.

Snow Fox was founded by the Australian businesswoman, Phoebe Song.

She developed the brand to provide a solution for people with highly sensitive skin types and chronic conditions, who, like her, were unsatisfied with the results of conventional products to treat their specific concerns.

Having suffered with chronic rosacea, she knew she wanted to make something clean that would assist herself and others with their complexion problems.
