The new location of North San Antonio Healthcare Associates in La Vernia is now open at 11907 U.S. 87 W., following a move from the organization’s former location in the La Vernia Crossing retail center at U.S. 87 and F.M. 1346.

It’s official!

The new location of North San Antonio Healthcare Associates (NSAHA) on U.S. 87 by Twin Oaks, is open!

The first day of seeing patients at the practice’s new site was July 5, said Practice Manager Cindy Budnik.

The satellite office of the organization, which is based in San Antonio, outgrew its former site in La Vernia Crossing, across F.M. 1346 from St. Ann Catholic Church. NSAHA broke ground last August for the new office.

“We have grown from a one-provider two-room medical office to a facility large enough to have three full-time providers,” Budnik explained. She’s also excited to share the new location will soon have an in-office lab draw station with a full-time person available to meet laboratory needs for patients.

The surroundings might be new, but patients will find familiar folks at 11907 U.S. 87 W., including Physician Assistant Tami Wieland, who’s been with NSAHA in La Vernia since it opened in May 2019. Dr. Clifford Alprin is available on Tuesdays in La Vernia. They’re joined by Nurse Practitioner Marlene Herrera, who came on board with the move. The front office team and medical assistants round out the personnel serving patients at the new site.

Services include primary care for the whole family — from treating acute illness such as cough and cold symptoms, to managing chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, Budnik said. In addition, they offer preventive services ranging from physical exams, sports physicals, and well child exams to in-office procedures such as laceration repairs and other minor surgical procedures. NSAHA also has an in-office med spa, with services such as BioTe pellet therapy, a form of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, along with Skin Pen, Botox, and other cosmetic injections.

“We will begin doing TxDOT physicals in September,” Budnik advised. Providers are in the process of certifying for this service.

The practice welcomes new patients, including self-pay and those with the in-network insurance plans they accept.

An official grand opening is planned for later this year, probably in September.

“We are excited about our new location and being able to offer our services to more of the community,” Budnik said.

North San Antonio Healthcare Associates was founded in 1978 by Dr. Gordon Hill; the San Antonio office is located at 3338 Oakwell Court, Suite 107, in San Antonio.

The practice established its first satellite office in La Vernia in May 2019, and is now located at 11907 U.S. 87 W., next to Melanie’s Bar & Grill.

Hours in La Vernia are:
•Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
•Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The office is closed for lunch daily, from noon to 1 p.m.
