Non surgical nose job v rhinoplasty

A non surgical nose job is exactly as it sounds – a transformation made to the nose without surgery.

Instead, fillers are injected – most commonly hylaruronic ones such as Juvederm – above and or below any ‘bump’ to straighten out the bridge of the nose. Filler applied around the tip of the nose can make it look thinner.

The procedure is fast – around 20 minutes – and downtime is also speedy, with many of those who undergo the treatment feeling confident enough to go out and about immediately.

By contrast, rhinoplasty takes around a month to recover from, however it is permanent, so for those who are very sure, it could be the better solution.

Non surgical nose job review

I went to Nurse Alice Jenkins at Harley Injectables in Mayfair to try the treatment for myself.

After years of feeling self-conscious about my nose, I was excited to see if a quick procedure could give me my confidence back.

Having never had injectables before, I was nervous – but I needn’t have been.

Alice was the consummate professional, explaining the treatment in depth and answering any questions I had beforehand.

She took my before images, and then applied numbing cream to the area, giving me a squeeze ball to hold in case I was in pain.

As it turned out, the numbing cream was highly affective, and while I felt a pushing sensation as the needle went in, it genuinely didn’t hurt.

I had five injections of Juvederm in total in the top of my nose, and Alice checked in with me throughout to make sure I was happy.

Looking in the mirror, we agreed to stop there – Alice advised I could have a little more filler in the lower part of the bridge of my nose, but this wouldn’t give me the natural look I was after, so I followed her advice.

My appointment was on a Monday – and it took until Friday for the dull ache to completely stop (I didn’t take painkillers as I prefer not to and the pain wasn’t bad at all – others may choose to) and the slight redness & injection marks to go.

Two weeks on, and I am thrilled with the result. I’ve forgotten what my nose looked like before the treatment, and looking in the mirror, I feel like myself, but better.

No one has noticed specifically what I’ve had done, but I have had several compliments on how “pretty” and “fresh” I’m looking, so clearly my nearest and dearest are registering something has changed.

Personally, rhinoplasty isn’t for me – I just couldn’t put myself through an operation that wasn’t strictly necessary – so this is perfect solution.

Alice advised the filler would last anywhere from 18 months to three years, adding to my happiness to choose this treatment.

The non surgical nose job with Nurse Alice Jenkins is £550. For more information and to book a consultation, visit https://www.harleyinjectables.com/
