You guys have been asking about facial treatments and things to improve the skin and I’m here to deliver!! So first I’m trying a pretty basic treatment that encompasses several different ones. It’s called a micro peel and it’s dermaplaning, then a peel, then a C02 ice treatment to close it off. I hope you enjoy this video and let me know other things you want me to try!!

I got my treatment at:

More info on the peel…

(A micropeel is a chemical peel that involves 3 steps of exfoliation:

The first step of mechanical exfoliation is dermaplane. A dermaplane blade is used removes the top layer of dead skin cells, along with fuzzy vellus hair on the face, leaving the skin soft and smooth.

The second step is the chemical peel. The Micropeel 20 is a 20% glycolic acid solution designed to refine pores and accelerate cell turnover, improving signs of photo damage, as well as overall skin tone and texture. It also stimulates collagen synthesis, so your body makes new skin

The third step is cryogenic therapy. This is a freezing procedure that is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It also increases cell turnover and cools the skin after your peel.

If any peeling occurs with a micropeel, it is very mild (if any at all!) , so it can be done close to events (and midweek!) without any worry of intense peeling.

A Micropeel is not recommended for those with severe acne of pore congestion (this would be better addressed with a Micropeel Plus, which does not involve dermaplaning, or SkinMedica Peels)
