Local skin care business catches Kochie’s eye | The Times

Mount Compass business Robertson’s Skin Care has caught the eye of Australian business guru and media personality David Koch.

Run by husband and wife team Steve and Bev Gee, Robertson’s skincare is a finalist in Kochie’s Business Builders ‘Back to Business’ competition.

Nine businesses from around Australia feature in the competition which aims to inspire small businesses to get back in action following the COVID-19 pandemic.

As an eczema sufferer, Mr Gee said he became a fan of the brand in 1990.

“I tried everything to get rid of my eczema but frustratingly, nothing worked,” he said.

“In 1990 my now wife bought me a jar of this product from a local health food store… Robertson’s Skin Repair. I was absolutely amazed at how it worked. My skin improved out of sight.”

The Gees developed a long friendship with owner Malcolm Robertson and eventually purchased the business from him in 2003.

“Malcolm has sadly passed away but his legacy continues. We are 100 percent natural, Australian made. We are very passionate about this product,” Mr Gee said.

Robertson’s Hand & Body Wash product was named a finalist for its ability to gently clean skin affected by the overuse of harsh sanitizers brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
