On Friday, Lewis celebrated scoring his fourth UK number one single with his newest track Pointless, by making very cheeky quips.

The Scottish hitmaker took to Instagram to mark the achievement, sharing photographs of himself licking and hugging number one shaped balloons.

Sitting in a hotel room decorated with giant blue and pink metallic number one shaped balloons, Lewis cheered as he held up the UK Singles Chart trophy.

Pointless is the second single from Lewis’ upcoming second studio album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, set for release in May.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1 when his fourth chart topper was confirmed, the crooner said: ‘Thank you so much if you streamed, downloaded or listened to Pointless in any way. The support has been incredible. It really means a lot.

‘This is my fourth UK Number 1, I now have the same amount of Number 1’s as B*Witched…so, pretty f*cking good if you ask me!

‘“I know there’s a cost of living crisis on, so thank you for spending your money on my music. I appreciate it. I’ve got myself some balloons and I’m going to go and treat myself to a biiiig w**k.’

It comes after Lewis claimed his third UK number one single in September with his comeback track, Forget Me.

He said at the time: ‘This one goes out to all of you, the people who love me, and especially to my enemies. May you all perish in flames and know nothing but eternal suffering.’

The star previously reaching the top spot with his 2019 hit Someone You Loved and 2020’s Before You Go.

In September Lewis went public with his diagnosis of Tourette’s syndrome, saying he doesn’t want fans to think he’s been ‘taking cocaine or something’.

The hitmaker explained: ‘I have been diagnosed with Tourette’s. I wanted to speak about it because I didn’t want people to think I was taking cocaine or something.’

Lewis is learning to live with the symptoms of the condition, and the chart-topping star has even had Botox injections to help to control his tics.

He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: ‘My shoulder twitches when I am excited, happy, nervous or stressed. It is something I am living with. It is not as bad as it looks.’

Lewis also addressed the issue during an Instagram Live session with his fans, as he shared: ‘It’s a new thing. I haven’t really learnt much about it.

‘I got Botox in my shoulder to stop it moving but I’m learning new ways to cope all the time. Some days it’s more painful than others, sometimes it’s quite uncomfortable but I guess that’s it.’

Lewis has wondered about his health over the last few years, and he admits that the diagnosis now ‘makes so much sense’.

The star – who released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, in 2019 – said: ‘When they told me, ”We think you’ve got Tourette’s”, I was like, ”Do you know what, that makes so much sense”.

‘When I look back at my interviews from 2018 I can see that I’m doing it.’
