Katherine Ryan and Jimmy Carr roasted one another over their love of cosmetic procedures during the first episode of her new Amazon Prime Video series Backstage with Katherine Ryan.

8 Out Of Ten Cats host Jimmy, 49, appeared alongside Katherine, 38, offering a behind-the-scenes look at what the comics get up to backstage.

Going for the jugular witty Katherine said:  ‘Just the other day I told my doctor I want 80s t*ts. You know that the kind that look more fake than Jimmy’s new hair’.

Before taking to the Roundhouse stage in Camden, Katherine discussed possible jokes to make at her friend’s expense with her co-writer Geoff Northcott.

Geoff suggested: ‘Jimmy’s had a lot of work done. He doesn’t look a day over, ‘What the f**k is that?’.

Katherine laughed: ‘He’d love that!’.

Backstage with curlers in her hair host Katherine said she was off to get ready in her very own ‘dedicated makeup room’.

Only for Jimmy to cheekily ask: ‘It’s an emergency room, isn’t it?’

Back in February Katherine didn’t hold back when she was accused of going ‘too far’ with plastic surgery.

Sharing the confrontation on her Instagram Stories, the comedian revealed her crude response as she cleared up the full extent of her surgery. 

The Duchess star received a message that read: ‘Hi Katherine, I think you are absolutely fab, but I feel you have gone to far with the plastic surgery [sic]’

To which Katherine shot back: ‘Hi Clare, I got breast implants in 2004 and nothing else. Suck my d**k b***h. Have a great day! X’

Back in 2018, Katherine joked that getting regular botox is a ‘hobby’ of hers, admitting that it wasn’t about age as all her friends started getting the procedure in their twenties. 

Talking on Gabby Logan’s Midpoint podcast last year, Jimmy said he decided to make some tweaks to his appearance after feeling disappointed that he doesn’t look as good in real life as he does on television.

Jimmy said he wanted to maintain his looks rather than change them too much.

He said: ‘I think that thing of age is that people don’t really see what’s there, people are good at pattern recognition, that’s all they do, teeth and hair.

‘Maintaining is the thing, I don’t think there’s anything you can do plastic surgery wise, or augmentation wise, that makes you look better, you can just sort it stay the same, that’s what you can hope for.’
