There are millions of skincare products that claim to banish wrinkles, and recently, face yoga has risen in popularity as a natural alternative to facial tweakments. Relatively new to the beauty industry, but steeped in ancient tradition is facial cupping. Express.co.uk spoke to Lulwa, Founder of Oiyari Skincare about their RevitaCup routine and how facial cupping can improve the appearance of fine lines within the first week of use for some.

Lulwa discussed the main skincare issues women face as they get older: “Exposure to sunlight is the primary factor of skin ageing – that’s why our day cream has natural SPF30 to protect skin from UV radiation.

“Another issue women face when they age is loss of muscle tone and thinning skin gives the face a drooping appearance.

“Our night cream is a night treatment more than just a cream, it lifts your face with time, hydrates it and treats any problems on the skin as well as helps with minimizing pores and wrinkles.

“The earliest signs of facial ageing are often visible in the periorbital area – around the eyes – with changes in skin colour and appearance,” she added, and one way to combat signs of ageing is by facial cupping.

Oiyari’s products contain algae, and Lulwa explained how this ingredient helps the skin and tackles signs of ageing.

She said: “Algae contain high concentration of Omega-3 fatty acids which makes it great for preventing dry skin and helping to combat skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne.

“As well, Omega-3 is also important in reducing and preventing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

“Red algae contains significant levels of vitamin C, an essential ingredient for revitalising the complexion. This antioxidant is ideal not only for scavenging skin-damaging free radicals but for brightening and balancing uneven skin tone.”

Oiyari’s Skin Miracle Night Cream is described as “botox in a bottle” and Lulwa revealed how it works.

“Our powerful night cream is made with marine peptides and plankton extract to help boost collagen and prevent the appearance of fine lines, age spots and loss of tone,” she said.

“Enriched with liquid oxygen, our unique formula provides skin with DNA repairing enzymes and antioxidants, so you can wake up to smoother, firmer, younger-looking skin.

“[It also] prevents age spots, wrinkles and loss of skin tone, firms and tightens the skin, promotes collagen production, and repairs DNA with our complex of plankton, enzymes and antioxidants.

“Skin Miracle Night Cream is described as ‘botox in a bottle’ because once you apply it to your skin you would instantly feel your skin is tightened and lifted,” Lulwa claimed.
