What is it hirsutism ?
excessive and Unwanted amounts of stiff and pigmented hair on body areas where men typically grow hair, including the face, chest and back and legs
5 to 10 % women have it

How much facial hair on a woman is normal?
The normal amount and type of facial hair in women varies. It is most common or normal for women to have fine facial hair on the outer corners of the upper lip and also on the chin.

Do I have hirsutism or am I just hairy?
The main difference between typical hair on a woman’s body and face (often called “peach fuzz”) and hair caused by hirsutism is the texture.

Why it happens
Hirsutism can result from excess male hormones, called androgens.

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia. This inherited condition is characterized by abnormal production of steroid hormones, including cortisol and androgen, by your adrenal glands.
