BTL Industries Sues Over Electromagnetic Body-Sculpting Patents

Rejuva Fresh LLC copied BTL Industries Inc.’s patented body-sculpting devices that use high-intensity electromagnetic waves to generate as much as 20,000 muscle contractions during a half-hour treatment session, along with the trademarks used to market them, BTL claimed in a new lawsuit.

Ellsworth, Massachusetts-based BTL created a new category of non-invasive aesthetic body-contouring devices in mid-2018 with its first Emsculpt machine, according to its complaint, which claims the technology tightens muscles and attacks fat and cellulite differently than lasers or liposuction machines do.
