Boy George, 61, confirmed to his campmates that he’d had secret cosmetic surgery – and was inspired by footballer Wayne Rooney.

The Karma Chameleon star gushed over Jill Scott’s hair before making the shock admission he’d had a full hair transplant.

“My hair is a transplant,” George told Jill, 35, and Seann Walsh, as he took off his hat and ran his hands through his grey-blonde locks.

“No way!” the comedian replied, as George continued: “I was bald, and you know what made me do it? Wayne Rooney.

“It’s not funny, it’s the truth. I saw Wayne Rooney’s hair and I thought to myself, ‘I could just get my hair done’.”

It’s the first time George has admitted to having a transplant – and his fans flooded Twitter to react to the news.

“Boy George being inspired by Wayne Rooney to get a hair transplant is everything I’ve been waiting for,” one fan wrote.

As another chimed in: “Who would have guessed that Boy George would take inspiration from Wayne Rooney, lol.”

“Not Wayne Rooney being Boy George’s hair inspo!” a third said, as a fourth penned: “I thought Boy George was bald under the hat.”

A fifth concluded: “I was shook to learn that Boy George does have hair under the hats he wears!”

It comes after Boy George had fans in hysterics as he woke up the camp with his bizarre set of morning rituals.

The singer was seen doing “face yoga” as the cameras panned through camp at the opening of the episode on Wednesday.

The star revealed that he performed the “yoga” routine in order to prevent having to use “Botox and things like that”.

While the rest of the camp started to wake up, George could be seen with his eyes closed as he focused on his morning routine as he vocalised loudly around his sleeping campmates.

They all looked unimpressed as they surfaced from their sleeping bags, listening to George make his meditation sounds.

Viewers were left in awe as the musician later explained: “I’m not a big fan of Botox and things like that. It’s not a good look.

“There are whole routines of face yoga. Just look surprised.”

Seann Walsh was then spotted joining in with George in his routine – as they both appeared to pull funny faces at one another.

Fans at home were finding it equally amusing, and took to Twitter with their reaction to the hilarious scene.

“Everyone being woken up by Boy George meditating at 6am,” one wrote alongside a meme of a person shouting.

Another chimed in: “The face yoga is absolutely hilarious.”

“Loving George doing the face yoga,” a third concluded.
