Ress And Loren Were Involved. She Worked For Him. She Claims To Have “Explicit Tape.” He Is Suing Her.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton Plastic Suregon is suing his ex-employee — also his ex-girlfriend — for posting allegedly fake, negative reviews on social media about his practice.

Dr. Andrew M. Ress of “Liv Plastic Surgery” just filed the slander and defamation suit against Arina Loren.

According to the suit, “Plaintiff Dr. Ress and Defendant Alina Loren were in a romantic relationship for approximately two years between 2017 and 2019. During that time Loren claimed to have experience in marketing, public relations, social media, and office management. Because of her claims, Plaintiff Ress hired Defendant at Palintiff Liv Plastic Surgery as office and marketing/social media manager.”

Then: “Plaintiff Ress and Defendant ended their romantic relationship in 2019.”

The suit goes on to allege that while Ress and Loren were no longer romantically involved, Ress continued to employ Loren — but her work suffered when COVID struck and Ress’ non-medical staff was told to work from home.

According to the suit, Ress terminated Loren and offered her $50,000 as severance. She declined the offer, demanding $135,000. If Ress didn’t pay the $135,000, Alina Loren allegedly said she “would destroy Plaintiff’s reputation and business through online reviews, through the release of personal and private information (including an explicit tape, which Palintiff had no knowledge Defendant had recorded), and through contacting Plaintiff’s patients directly.”

Dr. Ress refused to comply, according to the suit, so Loren allegedly posted negative reviews and comments online.

Dr. Ress is now suing Alina Loren in Palm Beach County. He seeks in excess of $30,000, the statutory minimum for filing in circuit court.

Dr. Ress is a highly regarded plastic surgeon with no disciplinary record on file in Florida, and only three reports of very minor post-surgical issues that were resolved amicably over the past 15 years, according to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.
