Amanda Holden’s secret to younger-looking skin at fifty and rigorous anti-aging routine

“Who says that once you reach a certain age women have to dress a certain way, act a certain way? I don’t believe in those rules. You do what makes you happy.”

Amanda Holden has shared her rigorous anti-aging routine and secret to her flawless skin after turning fifty earlier this year.

The TV personality opened up on her detailed beauty regime – revealing that although she has not yet had surgery, she wouldn’t rule it out in the future.

She told the Daily Mail: “I have keloid skin, which makes it not such a great proposition.”

Here is a detailed breakdown of all of the products and treatments she uses, and how you can copy her impeccable routine from home.

Collagen Wave:

Amanda swears by Collagen Wave treatments to hold back time.

This is the first non-invasive aesthetic device to simultaneously deliver these energies and reflect the latest scientific research on natural skincare.

This treatment plumps up skin to minimize wrinkles, gives skin strength and elasticity, reduces subcutaneous fat in the double chin and neck. In short, it restores the fresh, sharper and youthful appearance of the skin.

You can also receive the treatment on your neck and cleavage.

Neelu’s Beauty Salon in Liffey Street offers the treatment for €275-300 if you’re considering giving it a go.

Morpheus8 micro needling:

Another one of Amanda’s favourite treatments is micro needling.

Morpheus8 is the first full face and body fractionated radiofrequency needling device for subdermal adipose tissue remodelling.

This means the needles penetrate with precision to between 2 and 4mm into and under the skin to contract and tighten the skin and improve contours.

Morpheus8 can be performed either as part of the FaceTite and NeckTite procedure or as a stand-alone treatment and is available from Venus Medical.

An infra-red lamp:

Amanda also relies on a red light therapy lamp to give her skin an extra glow.

Infrared light is classified as light energy which we feel in the body as warmth, penetrating deeper than ordinary light, it works deep within layers of skin and muscle to bring about real health benefits.

Unlike ultraviolet light (UV) which has damaging effects upon the tissues and cells of the body and ages the skin, infrared light helps cells regenerate or repair themselves. The effect it has upon the body, especially for treating pain, inflammation and discomfort is quite amazing.

You can pick one up here for 69.99.

Dr Levy Intense Stem Cell Booster Cream:

Another one of the presenter’s favourites comes in the form of Dr.Levy’s stem cell cream.

It is a little on the pricier side coming in at €334.00 – however, the prize winning brand promises amazing results.

Dr. LEVY Switzerland is one of the most concentrated and active anti-ageing cosmeceutical available. You can shop it here at Cult Beauty.

Eve Lom Cleanser:

The Eve Lom cream cleanser is another product Amanda loves, and at €75.95 a tub with a whopping 162 five star reviews on Look Fantastic, it’s easy to see why.

The exfoliating cleanser includes a unique blend of ingredients which each activate individual cleansing properties. Clove Oil’s antiseptic properties encourage clear skin, Eucalyptus Oil drains away toxins, Hops Oil tones, and Egyptian Chamomile and Cocoa Butter soften and soothe the skin.

Without drying the skin, the cleanser removes even the most stubborn waterproof make-up. Apply using the Eve Lom signature massage technique to improve circulation, resulting in exceptionally smooth, radiant skin in optimum health – and it includes 2 full sized 100% cotton Muslin Cloths.

Shop it here at Look Fantastic.

Regular exercise:

Amanda told the publication: “My bottom isn’t looking so great at the moment because I’ve slacked off in lockdown. I’m an outdoor exerciser – I like yoga and running but it’s been too cold.

“I’ve been put to shame by Alesha [Dixon, her fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge], who is working out and looking amazing, and by Lexi (Amanda’s daughter), who has been really disciplined and got a little six-pack.”

Amanda continued: “Who says that once you reach a certain age women have to dress a certain way, act a certain way? I don’t believe in those rules.
