BGT: Amanda Holden tells comedian she has ‘funny bones’

Amanda Holden looked red-faced during Wednesday’s Britain’s Got Talent as she gave glowing feedback to one contestant.

The third round of live semi-finals saw teenager Eva Abley take to the stage at London’s Hammersmith Apollo as she performed another comedy skit.

Eva, 14, had the judging panel and the live audience in stitches as she pulled plenty of jokes out of the bag – including several digs at Simon Cowell.

At one point, Eva poked fun at Simon’s past use of Botox as well as the bike accident he had back in August 2020 which saw him end up in hospital after breaking his back.

Simon’s fellow judge Amanda Holden could be heard howling at Eva’s jokes and went on to give the teen very positive feedback.

“Oh my goodness me, every single one was a banger!” Amanda said, before adding: “You have got funny bones, there’s nothing else to say.”

However, Amanda quickly remembered that she was talking to someone who has cerebral palsy.

Cerebral palsy is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture and is the most common motor disability in childhood.

“You know what I mean, that wasn’t a joke!” Amanda quickly said trying to rectify her awkward moment.

“You’ve got it in your blood, you are naturally funny. Every single joke was a winner darling, and I looked at you and every single moment was funny. You are so refreshing, so genuine, you’re incredible,” she added.

But Amanda’s gaffe certainly didn’t go unnoticed by BGT fans watching at home and they took to Twitter to comment.

One person said: “Amanda really does say the wrong thing all the time #bgt,” while another tweeted: “Amanda has had a ‘mare there #BGT.”

A different viewer said: “Funny bones.. it’s in your blood.. f**king hell don’t bully her Amanda #BGT,” while another added: “amanda foot in mouth….again …funny bones #bgt.”
