From Sports Medicine to Cosmetic Medicine
Dr. Strell is the sole practitioner and personally performs all procedures addressing pain management, sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and aesthetic medicine. He is assisted in day-to-day operations by his wife, Pamela Strell, and his office manager, Stacy.
As a board-certified physician in the field of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Strell diagnoses and treats a wide array of patients including athletes with injuries, chronic pain and also manages a patient’s pre- and post-surgical rehab supervision. The practice of cosmetic medicine seemed like a natural evolution, since Dr. Strell had already spent years performing procedures using needles like joint injections, trigger point injections, and acupuncture.
“When I expanded into cosmetic medicine, I had already been using neuromodulators like Botox™ to treat patients with migraines, bruxism, and spasticity,” Dr. Strell told Hoboken Girl. “Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing a client look in the mirror after a treatment and love how they look.”

Dr. Strell offers customized aesthetic treatments and dermal fillers including Botox™/Xeomin™, Volbella, Voluma, and Juvederm™. Initial consultations are always complimentary and never rushed, as Dr. Strell makes a point of taking his time to clearly understand the needs and goals of each client. Each treatment plan is designed to provide personal attention to the individual. Follow-up appointments are available in-person and virtually to make the process as convenient as possible.
“I am an avid believer in self-care, a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, daily exercise, and staying well hydrated. Each of these elements goes hand in hand to create a healthy lifestyle, but aging still happens. My goal is to ease the signs of aging and to help my patients improve their perception of how they see themselves,” Dr. Strell said.

What sets Dr. Strell’s practice apart from other practices is the natural, well-rested look that patients come away with. The most common procedures minimize or erase lines, enhance the lips, lift the cheeks, and eliminate dark circles under the eyes. He has some local celebrity clients, but of course — we’ll never tell (and you’d never know it because it looks so natural!).
“When I sit down with a cosmetic medicine patient, I observe their expressions and movements. This time enables me to see where I can help enhance their natural appearance,” Dr. Strell said. “Faces shouldn’t all be treated the same way because every individual is unique. In my practice, I honor that.”

“I became a doctor because making someone’s day better makes my day. “Hoboken is a true community. Seeing familiar faces out and about town, being able to walk and bike ride everywhere are just some of my favorite things about living and working in Hoboken,” Dr. Strell said. “I feel very fortunate to have established my practice here.”
