Two of the standout stars from RHOSLC were Heather Gay and Whitney Rose. While they both owned the spotlight, here’s how their star power compares.

While The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City only has one season so far, it’s definitely made quite an impact on the franchise already. Fans were definitely interested in the new cast members and what they brought to the table, and the reunion episodes were rather explosive in a way that delighted audiences.

While everyone has their favorite cast members, two of the standout stars from RHOSLC were Heather Gay and Whitney Rose. The two women also happen to be cousins which means they usually had each other’s backs throughout most of the drama during the season. While they are both loved by fans overall, they have quite different personalities, and they both have their moments when they shine.

10 Whitney: Owning her plastic surgery journey

During the reunion episodes, Andy Cohen asked the women about their plastic surgery or other cosmetic procedures. While it’s not really anyone’s business, and no one is required to share this information, Whitney had no problem owning these choices.

She explained that she had just had another boob job, and her confidence and openness about plastic surgery is always refreshing to hear as this isn’t something anyone should feel shame over.

9 Heather: Getting her hook up on

Much of Heather’s journey in the first season was trying to figure out how to live her life outside of the Mormon religion she was raised in. She definitely had some conflicting emotions and guilt, but she slowly started to find her confidence and not worry about being judged.

She was quite honest about exploring her sexuality, and seeing a middle-aged, divorced woman be so frank and confident about this part of her life was great.

8 Whitney: Her wild talking head looks

One thing that fans of the Real Housewives franchise often love is the various fashion choices and looks of the cast members. And, on this front, most of the cast members of RHOC didn’t disappoint.

While no one’s looks were as strange as Mary’s or as extra as Jen’s, Whitney also had some pretty out there and varying looks. This was especially the case in her talking head interviews where she changed up her hair a lot.

7 Heather: When she was authentic and likable

While most Real Housewives cast members are sometimes likable and sometimes not, Heather is probably one of the most well-received overall. Whitney had moments where fans were more critical of her, but the majority of people found Heather very authentic and real.

She seemed more like a regular person you’d want to be friends with, and fans also really were endured by her healthy, endearing relationships with her daughters. Heather also dealt with a lot of insecurities and tried to be a good friend, so fans really supported her finding her way.

6 Whitney: When she was non-apologetic about her life

There’s no design that Whitney has made some life choices that many people would question or judge. The biggest of these being the fact that she married a much older man after they first had an affair with one another.

While this is a complicated story, Whitney is at least honest about all of it. She doesn’t shy away from the truth of the situation, and this is the best way she could handle it all.

5 Heather: Going after Lisa hard in the reunion

While Heather spent most of the season being a bit more subdued and always trying to be a good friend, she seemed to have found her confidence more in the reunions. She was done with not sticking up for herself or not feeling like she was good enough.

So, she went after Lisa rather hard, and there was a lot of drama between them. But, seeing as how the franchise is all about drama, many fans couldn’t get enough.

4 Whitney: When she ruined Sharrieff’s birthday party

One of the most memorable Whitney moments from the season, and the one that had the biggest impact on the plot was when she told Jen about Lisa and Meredith being scared of her. Granted, this was really poor timing on Whitney’s part, and it maybe wasn’t the best choice.

But, while fans especially felt bad for Sharrieff who seemed to be really enjoying his surprise party, Whiney could be counted on to bring the drama. And, without some of this drama, the season would have been pretty bland.

3 Heather: When she got a DM from Rihanna

Heather’s newfound confidence probably isn’t that surprising all things considered given that she’s been so positively received by fans. But, the one thing that really seemed to inspire her was the fact she got a message on Twitter from none other than Rihanna.

This solidifies her position as being another iconic person from the Real Housewives, and it’s not surprising she’d feel pretty good about herself after this.

2 Whitney: Not letting herself be shamed

This season was interesting because the women have rather varying religious beliefs. Cast members like Lisa are more religious and conservative about some things while Whitney, who used to be Mormon, isn’t as restrictive about her lifestyle.

But, while Lisa has every right to be religious, shaming Whitney for doing things like dancing and having fun isn’t great. However, Whitney was quick to call this out and stick up for herself.

1 Heather: Her journey of accepting and loving herself

While there’s only been one season of this part of the franchise so far, Heather definitely was given the hero’s cut in this season. She came off really well in how she interacted with the people around her.

And, because she did struggle with self-esteem, it made it easy for people to support her and want to tell her she was great. It seems based on the reunion that she feels a lot more secure in her choices, and this was a great arc to watch.
